Thanks to all who participated in our community survey!
Each year the NPPA will ask you if we're on the right track. This community survey is part of a bigger model of community development we like to call "The Newlands Model". It's making us world famous in New Zealand as other residents associations in Wellington City and Christchurch are starting to adopt it for their communities.

Did you score Civil Defence as important to you in the recent Newlands Community Survey?
If so, you might be interested in what the Civil Resilience Project is doing.
Our long term aim is to ensure that our community is ready and able to cope with, and recover from, any major emergency. We’ll be working alongside Civil Defence, WEMO, and all the other agencies that get involved in emergencies and disasters.
This is a ten year plan. Obviously it’s not possible to do that overnight, so we’ve broken it down into more manageable chunks.

How well do you know your neighbours ? In times of emergency you neighbours could be your nearest help.
